In this section, you will find further information about Mathilde, her practice and her craft. Currently, Mathilde is inspired by the European tradition of slipware. She creates contemporary earthenware influenced by country pottery from Alsace and Savoie. Visually, Mathilde’s pots fit in a modern home, thanks to their form and the chosen colours. Mathilde has chosen to use colour sparingly to let the clay body shine through. The symbol she applies to the side of the pot is the final touch to give it a direction and add some texture. Mathilde also runs demonstrations and workshops with adults and young people. |
